A rose.

What makes you laugh?
Eddie Izzard makes me laugh…
Coal mines and brass bands are a large part of my heritage. The mines have gone, but the bands still exist thankfully.
This is definitely worth a share…

So, here are the reasons I cannot erect a shed…
So, in the spirit of the ‘law of attraction’, I have thought about visualising what I want to manifest it. It is possible. But not where we are. The only way to do it would be to move house. And at my stage in life, I don’t think it is worth the cost and inconvenience of moving for the sake of a shed. Since we decided to stay where we are, I’ve found it somewhat liberating.
So, the shed is off. I’m thinking about how in Buddhism, it’s unfulfilled desire that causes suffering. Well, I’m renouncing suffering for the sake of one unfulfilled ambition. Instead, I’m counting my blessings, of which there are many. It’s good to cultivate an attitude of gratitude.
We left the old shed (see photo), at our previous accommodation, to the new tenant. I guess that was a blessing for her.

When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I told my grandma that I wanted to be a ‘heart attack’. She laughed. What I meant was ‘architect’.
My grasp of the English language has come on a pace since then.

Today is my birthday, and I wish for peace and happiness in the world.
What’s something most people don’t understand?
“What great opponent of Cartesian Dualism resists the reduction of psychological phenomena into physical states, and insists there’s no point of contact between the extended and the unextended?”
Yeah, hilarious, innit? 😁 The answer is Henri Bergson.
It’s basically asking how do the body and mind interact? How can something non-physical affect the physical? How does the “ghost “ (mind) operate the “machine” (body)?
Catchy song by Christian Celtic band, Eden’s Bridge.
