Last week, I relinquished a river cruise holiday in Portugal, due to mobility issues. Now I’m more inclined to go somewhere nearer.
One of my best holidays was in Alnwick, so I just booked three nights in The White Swan Hotel there for early December.
Alnwick is a lovely historic town with nice shops and cafes. We’re both looking forward to going.

Giving up the Portugal cruise must have been disappointing, but Alnwick sounds like a place worth returning to. Three nights at The White Swan gives you something to look forward to, and I hope the trip brings back some happy memories. Sometimes a holiday close to home is exactly what we need.
