My mum said there wouldn’t be much inheritance, but there would be enough to cover flights so I could pay my last respects.
She must have underestimated her worth because there was enough for us to buy a small apartment. It’s the best thing we ever bought.
And, because we pay no rent, it’s like the gift that keeps on giving.
