It’s ironic that one of my first freshman assignments at Leeds University was to read a book by Peter Singer about animal ethics, while all the while the university was carrying out animal experimentation.
To this day, they still experiment on animals including rats, rabbits and pigs. I don’t agree with it at all. I think there should be zero animal experimentation.
It may only be a gesture, but I decided to tear up my degree certificate and send it back.
