Back in Blighty

The missus and I are back home. We planned to cross the country from Newcastle by train, but my tickets disappeared off my phone. I bought a second set of tickets, but then the train was cancelled. We ended up getting a taxi back, which is about 70 miles and cost us £150. Ouch! Still it’s good to be home, and I intend taking it easy for the next few days.

    That such a thick book, but I’m intrigued. I’m sorry to hear about the transportation trouble. I’m glad to hear you’re safely home.

      Thanks, Hazel 🙏🏼 Yvonne is pretty omnivorous in her reading tastes. She’s read the bible cover to cover several times and is a proper evangelical, whereas I’m more of a dabbler.

      Yes, it’s good to be safely back. And we’ve been reunited with Cattypuss 😸too.
