How has technology changed your job?

For a long time, I worked as an IT technician. But a better job description would have been “support worker.” My approach was person-centred. It wasn’t really about faulty machines that needed fixing. It was about people who needed help. I couldn’t help but feel compassion for my customers, technology can be so very frustrating. I’m a bit of a geek myself and love a challenge, so was happy to help.

Photo is of our new cooker, which arrived today… a fine bit of German engineering. Guaranteed for two years and then insured against failure, for peace of mind.
